A Déjà Vu installation provides a small program that can be run to analyze your dongle and provide information about its current state and programming. If the dongle is not working correctly this program can provide clues that may be used to diagnose and solve the issue. In Déjà Vu X, the program to run is called Ddlook.exe. It can be found in one of the following folders:
- In 32-bit Windows: C:\Program Files\ATRIL\Deja Vu X\Dongle
- In 64-bit Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\ATRIL\Deja Vu X\Dongle
Locate the program's executable file and double-click on it to run it. It will show a window with information about the dongle, or a small dialog window with an error code.
In Déjà Vu X2, the program to run is called DinkeyLook.exe. It can be found in one of the following folders:
- In 32-bit Windows: C:\Program Files\ATRIL\Deja Vu X2
- In 64-bit Windows: C:\Program Files (x86)\ATRIL\Deja Vu X2

Locate the program's executable file and double-click on it to run it. It will show a window with information about the dongle, or a small dialog window with an error code.
You can use Ddlook.exe to get the information from a Déjà Vu X network dongle, or DinkeyLook.exe to get the information from a Déjà Vu X2 or Déjà Vu X3 network dongle. You just need to run the right tool on the computer that the network dongle is connected to.
The folders specified above may not be available in the computer that the dongle is connected to, if the Déjà Vu application is not installed. In that case, you must locate the file Ddlook.exe or DinkeyLook.exe in a computer that does have Déjà Vu installed and copy it to the computer that hosts the network dongle.

What to do with this information
If you have been asked to run either of these tools and return the information they provide, you can copy the necessary information by typing it, or you can make a screenshot of the programs window and send that.
