Importing text from embedded objects in Office documents

Embedded objects in Office documents

Embedded objects in Office documents are things from one Office application that are placed (embedded) inside a document from another application. An example of this is an Excel spreadsheet table embedded in a PowerPoint presentation. This would be displayed as a table in the presentation, but it would be still be an Excel spreadsheet and have all its capabilities (formulas, etc.)

Déjà Vu can extract text from embedded objects in Office 2007 and 2010 documents. Documents in any of the Office 2003 formats cannot have their embedded objects processed automatically by Déjà Vu.

You can find more information about how to use this here.
