91 - Object variable or With block variable not set.

Error: 91 Description: Object variable or With block variable not set.

There are several circumstances in which this error can appear.

In Déjà Vu X In Déjà Vu X2 In Déjà Vu X3

The problem can be related to the connection with the Settings file, or an error in the Jet Database Engine.

To fix a problem with the Settings file:

  1. Delete the file Settings.dvset from your Déjà Vu X installation folder.
This file is usually located in the folder C:\ProgramData\ATRIL\Déjà Vu X (in Windows Vista and 7) or in the folder C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\ATRIL\Déjà Vu X (in Windows XP).
  2. Try running Déjà Vu X again.

If that does not get rid of the error message, fix the Jet Database Engine.

This error may be caused by a problem with the configuration of the UI. You can reset the configuration of the UI to factory default using this Registry file. To use this file, do the following:

  1. Unzip the file.
  2. Double-click on it.
  3. Click on Yes if you are asked for confirmation.

If you find that this does not work, or the file is opened by a different program (such as Notepad) when you click on it, do the following:

  1. Unzip the file.
  2. Click on Start and then Run...
  3. Type in regedit, and then press OK.
  4. In Regedit, access the menu option File>Import.
  5. Select the file ResetDVX2WindowLayout.reg, and press OK.
  6. Close Regedit.

Check to see if you can now run Déjà Vu X2 normally.

This is one of the errors messages that can appear if you are working with a document that the new Microsoft Live Filter in Déjà Vu X3 cannot process. If that is the case, you will see a message that contains, as well as the error number, something like this:

Engine.AsposeWordFilter.ReconstructParagraphRecursive Line: ####
91: Object variable or With block variable not set

If the error message that you see does not look like this, then it may be caused by a problem with the configuration of the UI. There is a separate article that explains how to reset the UI of Déjà Vu X3.
