You can control how Déjà Vu handles non-breaking spaces by adding a new DWORD value to the registry. Click on the version fo Déjà Vu that you are using below:

- Start the Registry Editor.
- Find the key where Déjà Vu's information is stored:
- For 64 bit Windows: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\ATRIL\Déjà Vu X2
- For 32 bit Windows: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ATRIL\Déjà Vu X2
- Access the menu option Edit>New>DWORD (32-bit) Value.
- A new DWORD will be created, and you will be able to name it. Name it NBSPHandling.
- Once it has been created, access the menu option Edit>Modify.
- Enter a number from 0 to 2:
- If the value is set to 0, the normal behavior of converting hard spaces to the text [nbsp] is used.
- If the value is set to 1, the hard spaces are converted to an embedded code.
- If the value is set to 2, they are converted to character code 160 (a non-breaking space). These characters will not be visible to the naked eye, like any hard space in any other application, but they will behave as hard spaces inside the Déjà Vu X2 editing grid.
