How to repair the program installation

Click on the version of Déjà Vu you are using below.

To repair the program installation

  1. Close Déjà Vu.
  2. Download the installer from here.
  3. Run the installer.
  4. The Installation Wizard will appear. If you progress through the wizard by clicking on Next, you will see a page that gives you several options including one called Repair. Select it.
    If you see don't see Repair but you do see Upgrade, that means you have an older version of Déjà installed, in which case you should go ahead with the upgrade.
  5. Keep clicking on Next to complete the installation.
  6. Click the Finish button to exit the installation.

If that doesn’t work, try uninstalling the program and reinstalling it:

  1. Close Déjà Vu.
  2. Open the Windows Start menu and open the Control Panel.
  3. Select Programs and Features (or Add or Remove programs, depending on what version of windows you use).
  4. In the list of programs that appears, find and select Deja Vu and press Uninstall.
  5. Install the latest built of Déjà Vu. The installer for Déjà Vu X can be downloaded from here.

    It didn't work. (Error:
    DejaVuX3.mEncryption.Init Line: 5
    429: Active X component can't create object.

    Can you help me?

    Now I uninstalled the program, and tried to reinstall from the latest Setup (from your website, downloaded 10 minutes ago) and now during Setup is says it can't find DejaVuX3.msi. It is searching in the folder where DejaVuX3.Setup.exe is. I can't find a file called DejaVuX3.msi anywhere on my computer.
